Data Importer

Data Importer feature enables the user to import KPI into 4E system, without actually creating them from the UI. This feature is actually built to enable the organizations to import their historic KPI (KPIs belonging to old FYs), along with their actual performance data, into 4E system once they on-board. However, this KPI import feature is not restricted just to historic KPIs but the user can also import KPIs belonging to the current running FY.

Uploading KPI definitions, mapping and actuals data

Data Importer requires 3 CSV Files to be uploaded in to system:

Target File: This CSV file contains the details of the KPI. Typically, this file contains (more or less) all the fields that exists in Add KPI screen.

Mapping File: This CSV file contains the MP – CP mapping details of the KPI defined in the Target file.

Actuals File (Only in case of Historic FY): This CSV file contains the actuals data that corresponds to each DCF for the KPIs defined in Target file.

There can be KPIs which are carry forwarded across different FY. So, these KPIs need to be linked with each other in order to see their historic performance on Cap-Do screen. 4E will link KPIs if it is able to find VCS ref number as specified for respective years. If it finds duplicates, it will resolve using KPI owner first and then KPI department. If not resolved, it will show to detailed error in data importer log as well, so you know which ones are skipped

To link the historic KPIs with each other, user has to fill in the “extension-mapping” file below:

Sample CSV files
